Modern IT (Internet Technologies) in EFL teaching


“Multimedia scrapbook” is a distinctive collection of multimedia resources. Unlike Detailed search scrapbook has not only to textual sites, but also photographs, audio and video clips, graphics and animation are very popular today, virtual tours. All files scrapbook can be easily downloaded by students and used as an information and illustrative material for studying a particular topic.



“Treasure Hunt” - is reminiscent detailed search and scrapbook. It contains links to various websites on the topic under study. The only difference is that each of the links contains questions on the contents of the site. With these questions the teacher guides the search and the cognitive activity of students. At the end of Treasure Hunt students can be given a more general question on a holistic understanding of the topic. Detailed response to it will include answers to the previous, more detailed questions on each of the sites. 



“Subject sample” is the next level of complexity compared to the Treasure Hunt. It also contains links to text and multimedia material Internet (pictures, audio and video clips, graphics). After examining every aspect of topics students need to answer these questions. However, in contrast to the Treasure Hunt, by which - study is the second of factual material, subject sample aims to discuss the socio-edged, and discussion topics. Students should not simply read the material, but also to express and argue their own opinions on controversial issues being studied.

In the time of teamwork is necessary to break a topic into several aspects. After a discussion of its aspects in a group, students can submit the results of their deliberations to the whole class.
